| | The Hepmangrove Singers are based in the village of Bury, near Ramsey in Cambridgeshire.
Originally formed out of a church choir, it is now a group of local people with a simple aim - to enjoy singing.
Under the direction of local music performance teacher Richard Batty (link below)we uphold a simple goal of performing real music to real people in real places. In a world where virtual reality is becoming the normal experience, it is pleasant to hear live music - and that is our aim.
Just as important is that people who join us with no formal musical training can enjoy the experience of being involved in a live performance.
The social aspect to the group is also very important. We meet on Friday night and there is as much social chat after the rehearsal as there is singing! | Amongst our repertoire there is a collection of songs from the shows, World War 2 songs, A Eurovision song selection, 60's and 70's music, British Folk Music plus all kinds of contemporary and classical music.
We perform at many events, amongst them the following:
-Wedding Ceremonies (church and civil)
-Formal concerts
-Residential homes
-Public meetings
-anywhere that there is a need for live music
